I bought a minivan from Russ Darrow in September of 2024.
I bought a minivan from Russ Darrow in September of 2024. At first, the sales and service seemed good. However, it took a few weeks to get the van properly cleaned. And the van had to be cleaned TWICE because they didn’t do a very good job the first time. It was November before I got the 8th seat that should’ve been in the van from the start. And the key sense feature still does not work correctly, and it’s the middle of February! I’ve talked numerous times with the sales rep, Bob Phillips, who always assured me it would be fixed. He’s taken the van into the shop to have it looked at a few times. Each time dropping off a loaner vehicle that I need to put gas in before I can go anywhere other than the nearest gas station. And he doesn’t bother to replace the gas he’s used driving my vehicle round-trip from Janesville to Madison. The techs at the dealership said there is a problem with the radio, which is the cause of the Key Sense issue, and the radio needs to be replaced. The sales rep told me that a new radio would be ordered to correct it, but it’s becoming apparent that it has not. This has been going on since the purchase at the beginning of September! And now, Bob is telling me that the keysense feature is working exactly as it should, although nothing has been done to address the issue. Then Drake Lallas responds to posts to discuss. When I provided my contact info, he responded, “Good morning, Shawn , I am not the General Manager of our CDJR store … I did forward your email to the management team as well as Mr. Phillips,” and nothing ever happens.

We picked up our car on Friday night.
We picked up our car on Friday night. The tire valve covers were missing (after being told they would be replaced), the inside of the car had spots which appeared to be cleaner that were not wiped down but dried in various areas of the interior, and the car had a half a tank of gas. Upon bringing this to the attention of our salesman, I was advised that he saw the same thing on the interior of the car (but made no offer to have it rectified), I was told they do not provide a full tank of gas because it is not a “certified vehicle” and I was told they would get the tire valve covers to me. Not even an apology. With a dealership the size of Russ Darrow, I would think we would receive a better level of customer service.

I was told after a test drive everything was good to go.
I was told after a test drive everything was good to go. I picked my Jeep up at my Grandsons house in Madison Sunday because that's where it broke down and had to be towed to Russ Darrow. On the way home to Green Bay it was shimmying in the front, there was clunking under the vehicle and my cruise control gave me an error to fix it immediately. I drove it to Chrysler World Monday and they informed me the front sway bars need replacing, the back shocks and mounts need replacing because they were leaking, Also the steering needs replacing. And the tires need balancing . It was very disheartening the amount of things missed and needing replacement. This vehicle only has just under 36000 miles and should not be this bad. Very disappointed at the overall quality of this vehicle.

One hundred ninety five dollars an hour for labor is too much to diagnose something that will take over an hour and that’s nots parts and labor to fix it. The parts would have to come from a Ford dealer ship or the vehicle may have to go to a Ford dealership to get fixed.

The service was overall good. I think it is shameful that you have implemented a 3.50% charge when a customer pays with credit card. This was implemented during the pandemic, shame on you. This could lead to people not being able to get their cards fixed during a very difficult time for many in our country, you should be embarrassed. I will never buy a vehicle from you again. Especially knowing that cost of debt and credit cards transactions to merchants is not drastically different. This is nothing more than a price gouging scheme.
